Coolanowle Country  House on a working organic farm is a private location and is the perfect venue for your  special intimate wedding.

Our newly renovated  Barn and courtyard has been transformed into a purpose built wedding venue. The transformation was filmed by the Brennan Brothers for  the show "At Your Service" and is on RTE in January 2013.

Combining unique touches with excellent value for money, it is ideal for those who want to get married in style, with the best of food and comfort.  We focus on using our own organic farm produce served on a buffet basis providing a unique farm to fork experience.

Accommodation throughout the farmhouse and adjoining limestone cottages can sleep 25 persons. Numbers over this can be accommodated in nearby local accommodation in Carlow town (10- 15 minutes drive).

We have seven en-suite rooms in our award winning Farmhouse all with antique furnishings. We also have an adjoining ground floor annex/ family accommodation, two self catering cottages and a self catering log cabin to cater for all your accommodation needs.

Couples can apply to the local registrar’s office for approval to hold a civil ceremony at Coolanowle House. Alternatively blessings can be held on the beautiful beechwood grounds by our lakeside setting.

Local Churches include the beautifully set Castletown Church of Ireland and the Pugin designed Arles Catholic Church with panoramic views of the local countryside.
